Terms of Service

Last updated: this page is a working draft grounded in how the booking system actually operates — it has not been reviewed by an attorney. Have counsel review it, particularly Limitation of Liability and Indemnification below, before relying on it as final.

1. The Service

Columbus Carriage provides private car and shuttle transportation in and around Columbus, GA — including Fort Benning, Pine Mountain, Auburn, AL, and Butler — and to and from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL).

Every reservation request is reviewed by a person before it’s confirmed. Submitting a request through this site does not book a ride — it’s a request. A ride is confirmed only once you receive confirmation from us.

2. Requesting a Ride

When you submit a request, you agree to provide accurate pickup/drop-off details, flight information (if applicable), contact information, and passenger/luggage counts. We use this information to evaluate and respond to your request — see our Privacy Policy for how it’s handled.

Requests must be submitted with enough lead time before the requested pickup — the request form will tell you if your requested time doesn’t meet our minimum notice window.

3. Quotes and Payment

Once we confirm we can take your ride, we’ll send you a price and payment instructions (currently PayPal or Venmo). We do not process card payments directly and never store your card information — payment is handled entirely through PayPal’s or Venmo’s own hosted systems.

A ride is considered confirmed once payment is received and we’ve marked it as such. Prices quoted are specific to the trip details you provided; a material change to pickup location, drop-off location, date, time, or passenger count may require a new quote.

4. Cancellations, No-Shows, and Flight Delays

See our Cancellation Policy for cancellation fees, no-show terms, and how we handle flight delays. It’s incorporated into these Terms.

5. Your Responsibilities

You agree to:

6. No Guarantee of Availability

Submitting a request does not guarantee a vehicle will be available for your requested time. We’ll tell you promptly if we can’t accommodate a request.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Columbus Carriage is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of this service, including missed flights or connections, except where those delays result from our own failure to act on accurate information you provided within a reasonable time. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Columbus Carriage harmless from claims, damages, or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of the service.

9. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for delays or failures to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, road closures, accidents, or mechanical failure — see the Cancellation Policy for how flight delays and rescheduling are handled in practice.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version posted on this page at the time of your reservation request governs that request.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
